Handloom
At Maeri Manddi, handloom is not a category—it is the foundation of everything we do.
Every saree we offer is 100% handloom, woven by skilled Indian artisans using traditional techniques that have been refined over generations. From everyday drapes to heirloom pieces, each creation carries the quiet integrity of the loom and the hands that guide it.
What Handloom Means to Us
Handloom is slow by design. It respects time, skill, and human rhythm. Unlike mass-produced textiles, handloom sarees are woven thread by thread, allowing the artisan complete control over texture, strength, and character.
Subtle variations in weave, colour, or motif are not flaws—they are the unmistakable signatures of a living craft.
Our Weaving Traditions
We work across multiple handloom clusters and weaving styles, including heritage techniques such as Banarasi, Maheshwari, Kota, and other regional traditions. Each weave is chosen for its authenticity, durability, and timeless relevance.
Our role is not to alter the craft, but to curate responsibly—bringing forward sarees that honour tradition while fitting seamlessly into the modern Indian wardrobe.
Ethical & Thoughtful Sourcing
Maeri Manddi partners with artisans and small weaving communities, supporting sustainable livelihoods and fair value for skilled craftsmanship. We produce in limited quantities or on a made-to-order basis to minimise waste and respect the pace of handcraft.
