The Craft
Tanchoi is a traditional Banarasi technique woven with multiple coloured weft threads to create intricate, self-patterned designs without floats on the reverse, resulting in a smooth, richly textured fabric.
Our Tanchoi sarees are handwoven over approximately 300 hours by a pair of master weavers, ensuring consistency across the body, border and aanchal.
